Welcome
The Department of Education and Skills is currently conducting a survey of parents in your area to ascertain what type of school you require for your children. An Foras Pátrúnachta has created this blog specifically to assist and inform parents as they make this choice. 44 areas in total around Ireland will be surveyed during this process. 5 of these areas have been surveyed in Autumn 2012. The next phase of the survey begins on the 14th of January and will conclude on the 8th of February. This blog outlines the benefits of Irish-Medium education and the benefits of An Foras Pátrúnachta as a school patron. It will hopefully help you to decide to choose a Gaelscoil for your area.

Tá An Roinn Oideachais agus Scileanna ag déanamh suirbhé i do cheantar le fáil amach cén cineál scoil atá ag teastáil uait do do phaistí. Tá An Foras Pátrúnachta tar éis blag speisialta a chruthú le heolas agus le cabhair a thabhairt duit mar thuismitheoir. Beidh suirbhé déanta ar 44 ceantar ina iomlán, déanadh suirbhé ar 5 cheantar i bhFómhar 2012. . Sa mblag seo beidh eolas faoin Oideachas trí mheán na Gaeilge agus na buntáistí a bhaineann leis An Foras Pátrúnachta mar phatrún. Tá súil againn go gcabhróidh an t-eolas seo leat chun Gaelscoil a roghnú.
