Oideachais trí mhéan na Gaeilge

Tuismitheoirí:

‘Nuair a d’oscail an Gaelscoil i mo cheantar, chuir mé mo bheirt páiste is óige ag an scoil. Is é ceann de na cinntí is fearr a rinne mé riamh mar thuismitheoir agus a bhfuil mé fíor bhródúil as. ’ – Deirdre, Tuismitheoir

‘Is breá le mo pháiste an Gaelscoil. Tá sí sona sásta sa scoil agus tá sé iontach í a chloisteáil ag labhairt Gaeilge lena cairde.’ – Anita, Tuismitheoir

Daltaí:

‘Tá mé sona sásta ar scoil! Is breá liom mo rang agus mo scoil.’ – Katie, Dalta

‘Fuair mé mo chuid Oideachais ag an mbun agus dara leibhéal trí mheán na Gaeilge. Anois tá mé ag staidéar in Ollscoil. Bhí buntáistí ollmhóra ann domsa agus is féidir liom dhá theanga a labhairt go líofa’ – Sorcha, Mac léin 3ú léibhéal, Ollcsoil na hÉireann Mhaigh Nuad

Múinteoir:

‘I love teaching in the Gaelscoil. It feels like ‘Seachtain na Gaeilge’ every day in our school. The other teachers in the school feel the same as well, they are inspiring and we all work towards delivering the best education we can offer. I really feel like I am making a positive and inspirational difference in the children’s education and in their lives.’ Sinéad, Teacher in a Gaelscoil

Príomhoide:

‘I have been involved in Gaelscoileanna for the last 20 years after 10 years in non Gaelscoileanna. As a teacher and Principal I have seen the confidence of children in their ability to be fluent in two languages from a young age. I love to see the development of Junior Infants who come to school with no Irish , but then are using simple words and phrases within days, and move to understanding so much within a few weeks. Why deprive a child of an opportunity to be bilingual with all the advantages that that brings, with no extra pressure on the child.’ Prinicipal in a Gaelscoil
